But then, as said previously, I wouldn't argue that ;-)
I'd argue that there is an ecosystem in which different contributors bring different things to project, and that there is collective responsibility for engagement, such that the who is less important than the fact that it happens. I think that engagement does bring value (as discussed) but that the value is going to vary across different contexts, and can only be assessed in that context.
