AHRC DOCTORAL STUDENTSHIP IN GERMANIC STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD
The Department of Germanic Studies – including German, Dutch and Luxembourg
Studies – welcomes applications for postgraduate study in the areas of
linguistics, literary studies, philosophical thought, film studies, politics
and history, migration studies, gender studies, and more. For detailed

For autumn 2011 entry, we are offering a Doctoral (PhD) Award, normally for up
to three years of full-time study or up to five years of part-time study,
funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Block Grant Partnership
(BGP). The studentships cover tuition fees (standard UK/EU rate) and
maintenance (for applicants only who have been resident in the UK for three
years immediately preceding the award). For details please refer to the
