Well, it seems to still be the case that those who attack the film do so with a high degree of fanaticism, to say the least!
But, of course, it wasn't attacked by me; in fact I did not write any criticism of it. So I guess that in Harris's bizarre imagination accusing someone of gang-rape is just collateral damage to his need to vent mightily.

Fascinating: In Harris's alternate universe a listserv blog entry is "an article"--my oh my, if only college and university hiring and tenure committees thought this was the case! Since posting on a listserv involves no peer review or editorial judgement (beyond libel considerations by the moderator, I suppose), this is just self-publishing.
Curiously, there seems to be no archive on the Film-Philosophy site for accessing old listserv postings. (I don't know why; Frameworks does have an archive.) Therefore, unless one has kept all of the back postings on one's computer there's no way to know if this "article" really does exist. But who even reads all the postings? People have told me off-list that they often do the same thing as I do: skip most of Harris's rants and raves. Just not worth the time to even click on it and read the first sentence.
I called your bluff, Bill; nice try at brazening it out, but you lose.
