Salary in the Range:
£23,566 to £26,523 pa for Research Associate
£27,319 to £35,646 pa for Research Fellow
(Appointments are usually made on the first point of the salary range)
Fixed Term Contract until 30 November 2012
You will be part of a multidisciplinary research based team working under the direction of Professor Sallie Lamb, Professor of Rehabilitation and Director of Warwick Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) to provide statistical support on large multi-centre clinical trials. You will primarily be responsible for conducting analyses of datasets from randomised controlled trials, and for developing and conducting systematic reviews within a portfolio of studies of musculo-skeletal, trauma and emergency care work being conducted within WCTU. You will also be involved in the practical application and development of cutting-edge statistical methodology.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. For appointment at Research Fellow level, you will have a PhD (or equivalent) in statistics, epidemiology or other closely related subject. Experience of a range of analytical methods and of systematic reviews and meta-analyses is essential. A high level of statistical skills including competence in the use of statistical packages, such as SAS or STATA is also essential as is experience of writing scientific reports for publication in journals
