Research Management: Smoothing the Way
27 January 2011 RIBA, London
Interested in developing a seamless research management system in your institution? Come to a free one-day conference to hear from librarians, research managers and funders about their expectations and experiences of integrated systems – and how your professional bodies can help with the process.
The conference, organised by the Centre for Research Communications and supported by ARMA, RLUK and SCONUL, will look at such topics as:
• How can research management be integrated across institutions?
• How can research management systems exploit new methods of communicating research?
• How best can systems and workflows respond to the requirements of researchers, institutions and research funders?
Among the speakers will be librarians and research managers with practical experience of developing integrated systems; Stephen Pinfield, CIO of the University of Nottingham, on funding open access publications; and representatives from funders such as the Wellcome Trust and the Research Councils, and from ARMA, RLUK and SCONUL.
The conference will take place at the headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Portland Place, London W1B 1AD.
