The Association of Statistics Lecturers in Universities (ASLU) is holding its 1-day conference "Recent developments in Teaching Statistics: The use of Computers and Problem Based Learning" at the Royal Statistical Society (12 Errol Street, London) on Wednesday 1st December 2010, from 10.30 to 4pm.

"Teaching Statistics to Medical Students in an Integrated Curriculum"; Joan Morris and Jonathan Bestwick (Queen Mary, University of London) "Using Computers to Teaching Medical Students Statistics"; John Marriot (University of Plymouth), Ewan Crawford (University of Glasgow) "Teaching statistics through problem solving: using real time retrieval" ; Andrew Titman (Lancaster University)"Personal Response Systems for teaching postgraduate statistics to small groups" ; Jenny Freeman (University of Sheffield)"The application of problem-based learning to
statistics education: a case study" .
The cost is £50 for the day, including the registration fee, lunch and refreshments, with a 50% discount for full-time students and researchers.
