Hi Alex, thanks for the link. Do you have any usage stats about the uptake of the QR codes?
Some things I didn't mention about the Yourls self-hosted url shortening is i) you can obviously register your own domain, and thereby introduce an element of branding (and reduce a dependency on a third-part solution); ii) it comes with a nice logging/reporting tool to get usage stats out; iii) you can pre-set custom urls based on keywords or numbers, and potentially pre-seed these (e.g. with collections id's); and iv) you could easily tie all this in with generating QR codes - for example http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chs=150x150&cht=qr&chl=http://obje.ct/12345 rather than having to actually pre-generate the short url and have to dynamically look up or otherwise know what code has been randomly generated.
