Copyright Clearance for Print, Broadcast and Multimedia Production
training course. This essential one-day course is for those copying
and using existing content in their productions and services.
Delivered by Alma Hales, acting head of Intellectual Property at the
Open University and Bernadette Attwell, former Deputy Head of
Intellectual Property at the Open University and co-owner of Copy-
Right Consultants Ltd with Alma Hales, the course will provide
participants with an up-to-date understanding of:
• Types of works which are protected
• Rights ownership and licensing
• The status of copyright exceptions
• The meaning of 'fair dealing'
• The process of rights clearance
The course will include practical advice, easy to understand guidance
and the opportunity to have specific rights-related queries answered
by leading practitioners.
