Dear all
I have been searching various sources (e.g., ECONLIT) for papers/books that provide evidence of different levels of technical progress affecting industry/firm/plant output experienced by different types of industries (most likely from production function type models or DEA models). For example, what have been the different levels of technical progress experienced by, say, high-tech and low-tech industries, or knowledge-intensive services versus other service industries?
I’m particularly interested in studies relating to OECD countries (e.g., the UK, Europe and North America). Perhaps a little surprisingly I have found practically no studies comparing different industries; and even little by way of specific firm level studies looking at only a single industry in one country.
If anyone has any leads as to where I should look, I would be very grateful for such help.
Many thanks
