I'm trying to track down the series of ‘Where there’s life’ produced by Yorkshire TV and broadcast between 1982 and 1984, when Mike Oliver was grilled by Mirium Stoppard after stating in the Guardian that acquiring a spinal cord injury was the best thing that had happened to him. I have a vague memory of watching it when I first acquired a spinal cord injury myself and remember thinking he was in denial and making a fool of himself. Twenty-six years further on and 10 years of doing a PHD I am in awe at his courage and can now also see that acquiring a spinal cord injury was the best thing that could have happened to me. I would love to have the opportunity of watching this again but have been unable to find a copy. I have enquired about ordering a copy from Programme Copy Sales ITV plc but without the precise date of when it was broadcast they can not help. Has anyone any idea when this was broadcast, or even better, has anyone A copy they could loan me or suggest where I might be able to order a copy.
Any help appreciated,
Harvey
