I wouldn't expect beryllium to be present on a radio receiving station particularly - the uses of beryllium are varied but tend to be associated with the nuclear industry, Xray machines and precision engineering applications such as watch springs. I suppose some part of the radio equipment might have had beryllium in it.
By DoD I presume you mean Dept of Defense? I have worked on several MOD sites where equipment has been disposed of by burning which has left a layer of ash on the surface of the site which can contain metals so if beryllium was present say in the printed circuit boards or as specialist parts it will be in the soil.
However, it is common when stuff like this is disposed of that the valuable parts are removed. I've heard that the platinum contacts used in the old electro-mechanical telephone exchanges mysteriously disappeared during the shift precediing the decommissioning. I guess the only way to find out will be to look for it
