##########ABSTRACT#########################################################
Brain imaging studies are typically rich 5-D data sets incorporating 3-D
spatial measurements taken over time for a number of subjects, typically
resulting in several billion data points. Traditionally these studies have
been analysed using a mass univariate approach where each spatial location
(voxel) has been analysed independently, and then some form of multiple
comparison correction derived. In this talk, we will explore other methods,
particularly nonparametric ones, to incorporate spatial models into the
temporal analysis. We will also see that there are many interesting
statistical opportunities for future research given the very high
dimensional nature of the data.
