Dear All,
We are selecting candidates for full time post-doctoral positions (four posts) available in the Department of Radiology – University of São Paulo Medical School (HCFMUSP, Brazil). The main goals include the development/implementation of fMRI time-series analysis and hyperscanning methods to investigate brain connectivity in epilepsy and other neurological diseases. We have state-of-the-art whole body 3T Philips Achieva MR system. The facilities also include an fMRI eye-tracking system, an Eloquence (InVivo) stimulus delivery system from Medtronics and in house stimulus delivery systems such as an olphatometer, all synchronized with image acquisition. The institution is a Main Research Center of the CInAPCe program, a large multicenter effort dedicated to study the brain based on neuroimaging and a high performance fiber optic connection (http://www.kyatera.fapesp.br/).
Successful applicant for the image analysis should have a PhD in physics, mathematics, biomedical engineering or in related fields. The ideal candidate would have a background in time-series analysis, C++ and Matlab pulse programming is not mandatory, but would be of advantage. For the hyperscanning position, the candidates should have a PhD in psychology, and previous experience in psychophysics is paramount. Knowledge on FSL, SPM and Freesurfer and also important to all candidates. Good communication skills are required to interact with a multidisciplinary team of MRI scientists, engineers and psychologists.
