‘Developing an effective health and safety culture’ – 10th November 2010
On behalf of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and Manchester Business School, we would like to invite you to attend the Forum which we are holding on November 10th, 2010 in Manchester. The venue will be Chancellors Hotel, Chancellors Way, Manchester M14 6NN. We still have a few seats remaining and offer them at the reduced rate of £125 +VAT per delegate.
We are all aware that to be successful in managing health and safety and preventing workplace injury and ill-health, it is essential that an appropriate culture exists within an organisation. The objectives of this Forum are to enable participants to share knowledge and experience in the field of health and safety culture with acknowledged experts and with each other and to develop practical approaches to establishing such a culture.
The Forum will comprise presentations by two acknowledged authorities, Dr Sharon Clarke and Sarah Cudmore, based on their research. These will each be followed by facilitated workshops at which groups will discuss key elements of the presentations and participants will be able to share their own experiences with the group.
The agenda for the day is attached and if you wish to participate, please respond to Barry Holt, Director of Policy and Research at the IIRSM, on [log in to unmask] To ensure maximum participation, the number of places will be limited so we would appreciate your early response. Should you need overnight accommodation we have competitive rates with hotels near the venue.
Yours sincerely,
Brian Nimick Prof. Michael Luger
