NZ Firm to map Saudi-Kuwait border
NZ Aerial Mapping has won a contract to map the 25-kilometre border between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The project will involve replacing all 150 markers along the border with new and substantial monuments and will take 20 months to complete.
NZ Aerial Mapping has operated in the Middle East and Africa for several years and has successfully completed projects in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Sudan, Benin and Sierra Leone.
New Zealand-based firm Explorer Graphics Limited and India's Genesys International Corporation, will assist with cartography and photogrammetry respectively.
Ground surveying will be carried out by UK-based company Merrett Survey.
