Hello everyone,
I am a newcomer to this list and have so far been enjoying the exchange
of information and resources. My name is Mansha Mirza and I am currently
a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Studies at
Northwestern University. My dissertation research was an ethnographic
exploration into the experiences of refugees with disabilities. In my
postdoctoral work I have been trying to build connections between
disability and access to health care in humanitarian situations. As part
of my postdoctoral training I am taking a course in the economics of
health and health care. As an assignment for this course, I am writing a
paper on the economics of providing healthcare services in humanitarian
situations. My rudimentary literature searches haven't brought up any
substantial literature on this topic. If any of you wonderful people on
this list are aware of any literature related to this topic or know of
good sources I could use as a starting point, I'd really appreciate it
if you could send my way. I'd be happy to compile the responses I get
and send out to the list.
Thank you!!
Warm regards,
Mansha
