Hi,
Does anyone know of any good resources which clearly outline the kinds of
language impairments that prelingually D/deaf adults are likely to have
especially in relation to education? My Google-fu isn't playing ball
today.
There used to be a superb page on the University of Sheffield's webpages
which had a bunch of bullet points which were brief but quite specific.
The content there now
(http://www.shef.ac.uk/disability/staff/support/hearing.html) is superb
but seems to have lost the specific language impairment content which I
had used in the past.
Also if anyone has any academic references which are about *adult*
prelingually deaf people's language and have something about non-signing
adults language that would be also very helpful.
I'm happy for replies on or off list.
Have a good weekend folks.
Natalya
