Joint Association of Classical Teachers
JACT is seeking a part-time administrator to work in its London-based office
24 - 28 hours per week.
The administrator acts as the first point of contact for all public and
professional enquiries, fielding emails, mail and phone calls, and engaging
in liaison with individuals and organisations on JACT's behalf. You will be
responsible for the maintenance and update of all JACT databases and
financial records, and will be expected to liaise effectively with the
appropriate organisers in the booking of JACT events and assist with
editorial meetings for the production of JACT publications. The role also
includes minute-taking at council and officer meetings, as well as the day
to day running of the office.
JACT is looking for a highly efficient administrator with the ability to
work independently in the office and deal with queries positively and
effectively. A good knowledge of Word and Excel is essential, as well as
some familiarity with Access and Sage Line 50. A background in classics is
desirable as this position requires a certain amount of knowledge and
interest in the subject.
The successful candidate will be available to start work as soon as
possible.
