Dear Paul (and in response to Miriam's comment too),
I am working with a task called the 'diapix' task (dialogue based picture
matching task) which sounds similar to Miriam's task where you have two
pictures with 10/12 differences and participants have to spot the
differences and explain them to one another. This helps the experimenter
control for the lexical items produced and it encourages conversation.
If you wanted to use a template diapix picture then contact Rachel Baker
at UCL. I am using this template as it has 3 scenes: street, beach and
farm which are in Photoshop so to allow easy alterations to the scenes
(e.g. change colours, duplicate objects, change text).
It is much easier than designing your own.
