Supporting the next generation of leaders in medical research is at the heart of the Academy’s aim to ensure better healthcare through the rapid application of research to the practice of medicine. To consolidate our work in this area, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Programme Officer.
You will be responsible for the administration and further development of the Academy’s mentoring scheme and associated outreach activities. The mentoring scheme enables the Academy’s distinguished Fellows to provide direct support and guidance to aspiring medical researchers. The role includes developing and delivering a UK-wide programme of networking events and training workshops.
You will be educated to first degree level, have experience of developing external contacts and organising events. Excellent communication skills are a key attribute. General knowledge of biomedical research and the UK healthcare sector is desirable, but not essential. This full-time post is offered at a salary range of £22,000 - £25,000, dependent on experience.
