Why should the world care that
Bloggs plumbers is a family firm set up in 1823 and is based in
crumblingthorpe
Wikipedia does not try to record everything, That would be impossible.
It records things of importance in a global or national or local
perspective. There are telephone directories which record company
information.
Now if it was the town's oldest plumbers that might be worthy of note
but only within the context of crumblingthorpe. It probably would not
merit a page on its own.
I happen to think that science communicators have a great opportunity
to convey science information with Wikipedia, but you need to fit in
with their philosophy.
