A proposal has been made that an attempt be made to buy these as a job lot - and publish them in the Transactions of the IMMM - and pass the slides for safekeeping to an appropriate museum.
So far two of us have stumped up £10 each....so running total is £20. Anyone else?

Subject: Pre or early 1900's coal mining lantern slides
Dear All,
For those interested in coal mining, the Link below will take you one of a
collection of about 18 excellent lantern slides showing all aspects of
coal mining at the date the images were taken. I think they could well be
earlier than 1900. I hope this might be of use to someone.
Regards, Bernard
