Aha, I know the MIFS screen - I was introduced to that when our link
maintenance file became full and the transactions stopped being
processed on Tuesday....
According to the status screen we have 18056 system messages to view. I
think, unless anyone else knows another way to view them, that I will
just clear the file, because there's no way I am going to page through
using the F key!
Thanks,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,
I check our M > I > F > S every day (to check the transaction file is
low/zero at the beginning of the day and to see how many system messages
there are to view (if you can't see that on the first screen go F>
Forward to the next screen). This means our file is almost permanently
empty, and if there is a message (usually someone trying to place more
holds than they're allowed to or some other minor circ message) I can
usually delete it without having to do anything.
So this is the only route I know to check the messages and the only one
I've ever needed.
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Natalie
