Now in its 53rd year, 'Powder Metallurgy', edited by John J Dunkley and Professor Graham Schaffer, provides peer-reviewed, original research on the science and practice of powder metallurgy, news of technological and commercial developments in the industry and PM community.
The use of metal powders has a long history where the high reactivity of powders or the alternative process routes they offered for refractory materials could be utilised cost effectively, for example in tungsten filaments for light bulbs, hardmetals and as reactants during steelmaking and casting.
