Domestic abuse and disabled women in Wales: research project announcement
Disability Wales, Welsh Women's Aid and the University of Glamorgan are commencing a research project investigating the experiences and requirements of disabled women living with domestic abuse in Wales. The eight-month research project is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government's "New Ideas" social research fund. Please see the attachment for further information, including research aims and objectives.
We would greatly appreciate your support of, and input to, this new project. We are hoping to engage with disabled women affected by domestic abuse across Wales via questionnaires and case studies. We are currently in the initial stages of developing the questionnaire, and your expertise, views and experiences would be very useful. At this stage, we are particularly interested in hearing from you if:
* You have on-the-ground expertise and experience of delivering domestic abuse services to disabled women, which you think would be useful to embed in the questionnaire
* You are a service provider and are willing for us to contact your client groups when we reach the stages of questionnaire distribution and case studies
To find out more and/or to contribute to the project, please contact Miranda Evans ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), Hannah Austin [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) or Marilia Angove (Researcher) [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
Many thanks for your time! Please circulate across your network of contacts.
