AI-2010: Cambridge, UK, December 14th - 16th 2010. The thirtieth SGAI
annual conference

Organised by BCS SGAI: The British Computer Society Specialist Group
on Artificial Intelligence (an ECCAI Member Society)

AI-2010 offers the perfect opportunity for you to update your 
knowledge of current AI developments and applications, and to meet
with leading AI practitioners in a relaxed social environment. This
year's conference brings technical papers on the latest developments
in AI, presentations from industry practitioners with practical
experience of applying AI in the real world, and a range of workshops
- ideal for those seeking to expand and deepen their knowledge of a
wide range of AI techniques. All this in the historic surroundings of
Peterhouse, Cambridge's oldest college. 

The BCS SGAI is pleased at announce that: 

 - Registration prices are held below AI-2004 levels 
 - Workshops are now FREE for those registering at the main 
conference 

WORKSHOPS

There is a preliminary day (Tuesday December 14th) devoted to half-
day workshops on: 

- Bio-inspired and Bio-Plausible Cognitive Robotics 

- Advances in Artificial/Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience
for Brain-Computer Interfaces 

- Artificial Intelligence in Games

- Artificial Intelligence in Accounting, Finance and Management 

together with the 15th UK CBR Workshop (full day). 

This day is included FREE for attendees of the main conference, but
can be attended on its own at a special rate. 

MAIN CONFERENCE 

The main 2-day conference (Wednesday December 15th - Thursday 
December 16th) includes: 

- Keynote lectures: 

  Professor Alan Bundy (University of Edinburgh) 

  Professor Susan Craw (Robert Gordon University)

- Technical stream papers on Intelligent Agents; Knowledge Discovery
and Data Mining; Evolutionary Algorithms, Bayesian Networks and Model-

Based Diagnosis; Machine Learning; Planning and Scheduling

 - Application stream papers on Applications of Machine Learning; AI
for Scheduling and AI in Action

- Business and Industry Presentations with the theme of `Real 
Artificial Intelligence´. 

 - Poster sessions on emerging research and applications in 
intelligent systems. 

 - The ninth annual BCS prize competition for the best live 
demonstration of Progress Towards Machine Intelligence. 

This year's conference will be held at Peterhouse College in 
Cambridge. In addition to the formal sessions, the conference 
programme includes a welcome reception and a Gala Dinner. Plenty of
time has been inserted into the programme to allow discussions with
other delegates and time to make new contacts and renew old
acquaintances. 

AI-2010 offers a valuable opportunity to keep up to date with 
developments in AI and to share experiences in the practical issues 
of
developing AI based systems. 

Discounts are available for members of SGAI, AISB and other ECCAI
member societies, students and also for members of NCAF.
