Hello Heather,
Perhaps a good idea would be to contact other researchers into manuscript
illustration. Someone who comes immediately to mind is Prof. Michelle Brown,
an expert on (among other MSS) the Lindisfarne Gospels. She's at the
University of London. You could also contact the manuscripts section of the
British Library, or specialist libraries with early illustrated manuscripts
like the Bodleian in Oxford, or the Parker Library, Corpus Christi College,
Cambridge.
Do let the group know if you find a good solution to this problem. I would
certainly be interested.
