Call for Papers AAATE 2011 conference
Dear Colleague,
We cordially invite you to the 11th AAATE Conference on August 31st till September 2nd 2011 in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
The subject of this year's AAATE conference is "Everyday technology for Independence and Care". The AAATE's mission is "to stimulate the advancement of assistive technology for the benefit of people with disabilities, including elderly people". Assistive Technology is a very wide area which is actually supporting technology for persons with disabilities as well as the technology which supports giving the care to all people who need such support.
This year's conference approaches it from three sides:
* A changing society asks for more and better suitable solutions
* A growing number of people who rely on technological support and care
* The need to involve the end-users / consumers of care and technology users in the developments for a better future.
The 11-th AAATE conference will be held in the city and the conference centre where the first conference of this series started: The City of Maastricht which is also known as the place where the European Union constructed it's Maastricht Treaty.
We hope that you will be there, a memorable meeting where you can share your work and exchange your original idea's with colleagues from many countries.
Practical information can be found on the website which is the main information channel where you can find deadlines and ways to participate. In the coming months new information and interesting news will be put on the website: so, bookmark the link.
We hope that the conference and Maastricht will become your own favorite place to be.
Thijs Soede and Gert Jan Gelderblom,
chairs of the 2011 conference
