Dear Colleagues,
I'm currently building a spectrometer in which to study molecules cooled
in a pulsed supersonic gas expansion. To do this I require a pulsed
solenoid valve and associated controller. For the valve, I've gone with
the tried-and-trusted General Valve series 9 (now marketed by
Parker-Hannifin). However, the Iota-One controller, which many people
use to run their valves, is not 'CE' marked. This fact is currently
causing immense vexation to our safety personnel (one of the joys of
working for a government-owned institution).
The purpose of this email is to seek recommendations for any alternative
controllers that originate and are marketed within the EU. (and
therefore must be 'CE' marked). A moderate amount of web-searching
hasn't revealed any credible alternatives, but I thought I'd ask the MD
community before committing myself to the torturous process of getting
special dispensation to use an Iota-One.
Many thanks in advance
Adrian King
