Dear list members,
Please note that applications to the VC PhD scholarships from German
Studies are welcome. Supervisory expertise exists for German linguistics,
German film and German migration. In addition proposals for contrastive,
Translation Studies or intercultural projects are very welcome.
Please bring the opportunity to the attention of suitable graduates.
Thank you,
Klaus Fischer
Dear Colleagues,
I am happy to call your attention to the announcement from the Graduate
School that approximately15 Vice Chancellor PhD scholarships are
available (2 allocations per faculty - see Research page of the London
Met website). Successful applicants will either be offered a stipendiary
scholarship comprising a cost of living allowance (£13,590 p.a. for up
to three years) plus a fees waiver, or a fees waiver scholarship for up
to three years. Overseas students are only eligible for the fees waiver
scholarship.
Please encourage any appropriate applicants you may be in contact with
to apply for this opportunity (as the deadline for applications is
October 1st, it is especially appreciated if you could help spread the
word to strong candidates). Please note that details of project areas
for HALE applicants will be posted this week, but that HALE is broadly
open to proposals for which we would be able to provide appropriate
supervisory teams in subject areas reflecting the range of disciplines
in our faculty.
Thanks for your help in letting potential candidates know about this
opportunity!
Best wishes,
Anne
