Dear Fernanda,
that message is usually safe to ignore, though together with an empty
iout it sounds a little worse.
Could you please run fnirt again with the same command line as before,
but add -v at the end? That will give you printout of the progress to
the screen. Could you then cut and paste your command together with
the screen output into a mail and send it to us?
