PS:
If you use a seed mask, is this average length estimated for the entire mask or specifically for each voxel within it? I.e. is seeds_to_targets multiplied by a uniform or voxel specific number?

It also affects seeds_to_targets.
I.e., for each seed voxel, it calculates the average length of the samples reaching the targets (as soon as they reach the targets).
The output will be this average length multiplied by the number of samples reaching each target.
