Ha! I'm reading More money than brains : why schools suck, college is
crap, & idiots think they're right / Laura Penny, which is all about
the grand attack on education & nerds etc, by someone who loves
teaching Humanities, but sees in the US & Canada, a powerful endeavour
to denigrate & degrade intellectual pursuits even as it pays lip
service to 'education' so long as it's a learning how to make more
money.
Such people would say exactly this.
