Postdoc/ postgrad conference Announcement:* 'Social Scientific Approaches to
Bioethics' *
Scheduled for the 5th to the 7th of Jan 2011 and to be held in the Wellcome
Collection conference centre, Euston Road, London. The conference is
sponsored by Wellcome, the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and
Illness, Cesagen, Wiley-Blackwell, Nuffield Bioethics and the School of Law
QUB. The speakers will be *Prof Alan Cribb* (CBAS, KCL), *Dr Leigh
Turner *(University
of Minnesota); Dr Alexandra Plows (Bangor) and *Dr Duncan Wilson* (CHSTM,
Manchester) who will be discussing *empirical ethics, sociology, research
publics and contemporary history,* respectively, in both presentations and
masterclasses. *Prof Soren Holm *(Manchester) will be giving a plenary
lecture. The CFP is attached and the conference website can be found at

Abstract submission / masterclass application deadline is the *31st of
October 2010*.
