THE NATIONAL AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MEXICO (UNAM) THROUGH THE CULTURAL DIFUSSION COORDINATION,
       THE DANCE DIRECTION AND THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF DANCE AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA (FEDAME)

                                                                                  CALL FOR ENTRIES

Emerging points of view of young artists about the dance and the body through the camera.


1. The objective of this entry is to estimulate in young artists the creation of screendance.

2. - The exhibition of the selected videos will be at the event Dancedanza...without borders. A
Contemporary Dance Mexico-USA encounter to be celebrated from the 5th to the 21st of november
2010 at the University cultural center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in Mexico
city.

3. - THIS CALL DOES NOT HAVE COMPETITIVE CHARACTER, reason why economic incentives or in
species do not exist.

4. -CATEGORY: Screendance. Choreographies specifically created for the camera

5.– CONDITIONS:

• Artists of any nationality with an age limit of 30 years old.

• Videos with a maximum antiquity of 2 years (2008) that have not been
exhibited in Mexico, with a minimum duration of 3 minutes and maximum
of 10.

• A maximum of 3 works by artist will be accepted.

• Work registries will not be accepted, nor documentary, ONLY creations
of dance made specifically for the screen.

A DVD copy either in PAL or NTSC system, properly identified with title,
name of the artist, duration and production year. This copy will not
be returned back.

• Format of inscription and liberation of exhibition rights, filled and signed available in:
http://www.fedame.org.mx/callforentries/registration_form.pdf

• It is required to annex in a CD: Two images of the work with a
MINIMUM resolution of 300 dpi's for catalogue (in case of being
selected). List of credits of the work with synopsis and the artist’s summary
in a Word document, including the author’s contacts (email, telephone,
address)

• The reception of the material will be confirmed by email.

• The videos will be selected by a mexican, recognized expert in the field

• All the suscribed videos will be part of the UNAM's Dance Direction and FEDAME´s heritage to be
used for promotional, educational and research purposes.

•Deadline: October 25, 2010. Works arriving after this date will not be taken in consideration

• The shipment expenses from their origin to the address of this Festival,
will be of the participants’ responsibility.
The Festival will not run return or pay the expenses derived of the shipment
from other materials (cassettes, posters, photographies, etc.).

6. - RESULTS The selected videos will appear on the next web pages:
www.fedame.org.mx and the day on October 30th 2010.
