The winner was BMJ Case Reports from BMJ Publishing Group.
The judges awarded a Highly Commended Certificate to Girlhood Studies: an
Interdisciplinary Journal published by Berghahn Journals.
Also shortlisted were: Biomarkers in Medicine published by Future Medicine
and Worldwide Hospitality and Tourism Themes (WHATT) published by Emerald
Group

About the ALPSP Awards
The ALPSP Award for Publishing Innovation recognises a truly innovative
approach to any aspect of publication. Applications are judged on their
originality and innovative qualities, together with their utility, benefit
to their community and long term prospects.
The ALPSP Award for Best New Journal is open to any peer-reviewed journal
launched in the last 1-3 years. The judges consider the main aspects of the
journal including its launch: market research, editorial strategy, marketing
and commercial success.
The ALPSP Award for Best eBook Publisher was open to titles, series or
platforms launched since January 2009 and recognises exceptional expertise,
innovation and enterprise in the publishing of academic or scholarly book
content in electronic form.
