Subject: [danmail] Rowen jade - funereal arrangements
I've been out of the country so not monitoring Dan mail and don't know if
anyone has posted a notice of Rowen jade's death Last Thursday.
Rowen was a long time Dan supporter. When she was at Oxfordshire Coalition
of Disabled People, she was a regional Dan contact. Her death is a huge
loss to the movement, to trying to get government to support the rights of
disabled people and to many of us personally who were friends and colleagues
of Rowen.
Rowen was a mother, a disability rights activist, lesbian and fabulous
sister in struggle. She is survived by her partner Jaz and her daughter
Olivia.
Below, please see a note from JANE Campbell.

Subject: Rowen Jade's funeral
Dear friends
I apologise for sending a blanket e-mail to all of those who may have known
Rowen Jade. Most of you will already know that Rowen tragically died last
week while on holiday. We are all desperately shocked and saddened by the
loss of our dear gentle warrior. For some of you, this may be the first time
you have heard and I'm sorry you have to receive the news in an e-mail.
Rowen knew so many people it is impossible to contact them all individually.
Therefore If you know of anyone who is not on the e-mail list who would want
to know this news or details of the funeral then please forward.
For those of you who wish to send your condolences to the family in writing,
the address is:
62 Thornleigh Road,
Horfield,
Bristol.
BS7 8PJ. Rowen's partner's name is Jaz and her daughter is Olivia.
Rowen's funeral will take place at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 15th September
at:-
Westerleigh Crematorium
http://www.westerleighcrem.co.uk
ADDRESS
Westerleigh Road
Westerleigh
Bristol BS37 8QP
Tel: 0117 937 4619
Fax: 0117 937 4573
Everyone attending is asked to wear bright colours.
Rowan's family are not asking for donations to be made to any group or
charity as Rowen was committed to so many civil rights groups. If you wish
to send flowers, they should be sent to:-
Funeral Care
278 Gloucester Road
Horfield
BRISTOL
BS7 8PD
However, flowers are not expected. Rowan's family say it is more important
to be at the funeral if you feel able.
Refreshments will be available afterwards at a venue yet to be decided.
Best wishes Jane Campbell
