Two calls for papers:

1. A call for papers for up to four panels on the theme of POLITICS AND
CHANGE IN THE COMMONWEALTH at the 2011 Annual PSA conference, 19 - 21 April
2011, London West. To propose a paper contact: Dr James Chiriyankandath
<[log in to unmask]>

Details of the conference: <http://www.psa.ac.uk/2011/>

POLITICS AND CHANGE IN THE COMMONWEALTH:
To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the launch of the journal of
Commonwealth and Comparative Politics, its Editors invite papers addressing
the theme of change in the domestic and international politics of the
states that make up the Commonwealth of Nations (formerly known as the
British Commonwealth). Issues of particular interest will include the
durability and adaptability of post-colonial institutions (especially the
'Westminster model'), the political economy of development, ideological
change, and the evolution of the Commonwealth and its role and future in
international relations. Paper proposals with an explicitly comparative
dimension are especially invited. It is anticipated that a selection will
be published in a special Golden Jubilee number of the journal in February
2012.

2. A call for papers for a panel: POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE OF PUBLIC
SERVICES IN DEVELOPING AND EMERGING ECONOMIES at the XV IRSPM Conference
Value, Innovation and Partnership Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, 11th –
13th April 2011. To propose a paper contact Willy McCourt and Richard
Batley, International Development Department, University of Birmingham.
The papers will feed into a Special Issue of Public Management Review
(PMR), scheduled for 2012. Full details at:
