interdisciplinary research of applied physics, electronics, photonics,
material science, computer science, statistical science, and applied arts.
The research initiatives at Kuang-Chi Institute are novel materials, sensing
and networking, modelling and computing. Kuang-Chi Institute also invests on
the development of novel devices for future human life.


Kuang-Chi Institute has postdoctoral fellowship positions available for
young researchers in various scientific and engineering areas. Selected
applicants are offered opportunities to work on cutting-edge research
projects related to their interests and experience, under the mentorship of
academic mentor from Tsinghua University and scientist from Kuang-chi
Institute.


*Duties & Responsibilities:* The fellowship is a three-year, full-time
commitment. The fellow will have two primary responsibilities: (i) the
development and implementation of Bayesian modeling and computation for
analysis of complex data; (ii) to collaborate with scientists within the
institute on interdisciplinary methodological and applied research. The
fellow will be expected to participate in research leading to publications
in top statistical and applied journals. The fellow will also have the
opportunities and funding support to attend conferences and meetings. The
candidate will also work with the scientists to pursue external funding for
additional research projects.


*Position Qualifications:* (i) applicants should have a PhD in a
quantitative field such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science,
Applied Mathematics or Scientific Computing; (ii) strong ability in
scientific programming (preferably in Matlab, C/C++); (iii) strong English
written and oral communication skills; (iv) a desire to develop skills in
new areas of science as well as in building strong collaborations. **

*Salary Range:* Commensurate with rank and experience, average level: *200,000
RMB *per annum.
