Please see the call for papers below. I think it would be really good
to have at least one paper put forward that comments on gender in this
election - the invisibility of women MPs, the absence of women's
issues from the agenda, the rise of mumsnet, the obsessions with the
leaders' wives' shoes, etc. I strongly encourage those who were
working on this to submit a paper.

CALL FOR PAPERS
“The 2010 UK General Election”
The Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (JEPOP) invites
papers for a special issue on “The 2010 UK General Election.” The
special issue will be published in mid-2011 and will also be published
as a book (Routledge) later in 2011. Papers on any topic relating to
the election are welcome and all will be subject to peer review.
Submissions must be received by 15 October, 2010.
To submit a manuscript, please use the electronic submission platform
at Manuscript Central: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jepop. When
submitting, please indicate that the manuscript is to be considered
for the special issue. Prospective authors may wish to refer to
previous special issues published by JEPOP on the American
Presidential Election of 2008 (Vol. 20 No. 2), Internet Surveys and
National Election Studies (Vol. 18 No. 4) and The British General
Election of 2005 (Vol. 16. No. 1).
