Subject: Fwd: call for papers ICM new peer reviewed journal Int J Childbirth
Please see the email below - does anyone have a good quality paper they would like to submit to the new ICM journal, or do you know of any students or colleagues who might have such a paper? As well as reports relating to current projects, we are keen to consider good quality papers describing studies that have been undertaken some time ago, but which are still relevant today, if you have any studies that you never wrote up but wished you had done!
Agneta, can our web person at the ICM get this information to the RAN? Do we have that facility?
all the best
Soo

Hi Editorial Board Members—
Denis and I are sending this note as an update on the journal and a request for papers. We have received a number of papers that are out now for review but..we have not received enough to put out our first issue and are hoping that some of you might have a paper that you would consider submitting to our journal. Many of you were at the most recent Normal Birth Conference and if so, you might consider turning your presentation into a manuscript.
Updates: Denis and I have received drafts of the journal cover and have shared these with the ICM BOD. At this time, a cover has not yet been selected but should be fairly soon. Denis and I were in agreement so hopefully the ICM BOD will be as well. The really good news is that the automated peer review system should be up and running soon. That will aid our timeliness for review requests and you can be sure we will alert you as soon as it is ready. Finally, Springer is working diligently on the journal’s website which also should be up and running in the near future. So, there is a lot going on…but we need more paper so if you know someone who has a paper that might be a good fit for our journal please let them know or provide them with our contact information. And of course, we hope to receive papers from some of you.
Meanwhile, thank you so very much to those of you who have assisted with reviews. The work has been greatly appreciated!
Kind regards,
