The internet especially in its web 2.0 form is a medium rich of information worthy of exploration. But the abundance of data also comes with many challenges for researchers ranging from data collection to data analysis. Ana Adi, DOCTORAL RESEARCHER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF SCOTLAND AND A MEMBER OF THE MECCSA-PGN, has created a presention (see link below) where she shows some of the free online tools and platforms dedicated to analysing what happens online. She explores the advantages and disadvantages of using such tools in the preliminary stages of research, as part of research or as a triangulating device for traditional methodologies. She uses studies from research projects in event management, public relations, media and cultural studies or social sciences.
