Dear all
Please note that we are having some essential building work done on the archive strongroom at the Bury St Edmunds Record Office. This means that we have to remove almost half of the boxes and safely store them elsewhere in the building. Unfortunately this therefore means that we will be unable to produce original archives from Wednesday 18 August until Monday 13 September. The microform room will remain open as usual and we will continue to provide access to local studies material in the searchroom.
We are doing our best to publicise this to our customers but we wanted to let you know what the situation was, in case you are aware of anyone intending to visit. If you would like to know more about the work, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes
Judith
