Celebrating Florence Nightingale
On Thursday 7 October at the Royal Statistical Society a one-day conference will be held entitled 'The passionate statistician: Florence Nightingale's use of statistics and links with statisticians'.
The keynote speaker will be Lynn McDonald (editor of Collected Works of Florence Nightingale), and other speakers will include David Spiegelhalter, Eileen Magnello, Andy Grieve, John Bibby, High Small, Mervyn Stone and Alison Macfarlane.
Contributed talks and posters on the theme of the conference are invited. Please send an abstract no longer than 500 words by 1 September to Paul Gentry at the RSS ([log in to unmask]).
