Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant in the Psychology of Computer Mediated Communication (2 posts - Fixed-Term for 3 Years)
School of Psychology and Sport Sciences Ref: PSS09/22
Salary: R Assoc: £31,671 - £35,646 SRA: £25,198 - £30,656
Working in the School of Psychology and Sports Science you will contribute to one of two research areas; either the understanding of teenagers' attitudes towards energy use OR the understanding of how to implement design research that facilitates the application of psychological principles to the design process. Responsible for developing and running a research programme, you will also be expected to publish journal articles and produce other research outputs in high quality outlets and conferences.
To be successful in this role you will have good knowledge of research methodologies in psychology and/ or computer interaction. You should also have substantive experience of running experiments or user studies and will have experience of qualitative and advanced quantitative methods. A PhD in psychology, human-computer interaction or a closely related field is essential.
