Ian,
The change in URLs isn't simple enough for us to do a global update in our Innovative Millennium LMS so we're going to export our catalogue records into an Excel spreadsheet (can you do that in Talis Prism too?) and then use Excel's wonderful VLOOKUP function to pull in the new URL for each ISSN from Wiley's spreadsheet at:
http://info.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/SpringboardWebApp/userfiles/wcp/file/Journal%20DOIs%20and%20new%20URLs%20for%20Wiley%20Online%20Library(1).xls
The we'll use MarcMaker / MarcEdit to turn the spreadsheet into a new batch of records. We'll upload the new batch and delete our original batch.
I tried this a week or two ago and found that Wiley's spreadsheet lacked ceased/changed titles (and a couple of active ones). I alerted Wiley to this and I understand that these will be added to the spreadsheet soon (maybe they have already).
We might change our links now (well as soon as that Wiley spreadsheet is comprehensive) to be based on the journal DOI, as Wiley's new links are, but pointing to dx.doi.org (e.g. http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/(ISSN)1365-2648 for Journal of Advanced Nursing). These links should continue to work throughout the migration process. After the new site is live we could do a simple global update to change dx.doi.org to onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal if we wanted to.
I suppose plenty of others have MARC services from the likes of Ex Libris and Serials Solutions and can have a smug moment...
To be fair to Wiley, I suppose they are moving from a daft old system that used in-house identifiers to a sensible new system that uses global standard identifiers. As Emily has just pointed out, the update to your URLs doesn't have to be done by the launch date (or at all if you are very brave) as the old URLs should continue to redirect.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] New Wiley platform
Does anyone else out there share our dismay at the prospect of manually changing hundreds (nay, thousands) of URLs in our catalogue as a result of Wiley's shift to their new platform? Other suppliers seem to be able to change platform without requiring each subscribing library to do this work, so why not Wiley? Our spend with them is far from insignificant.
Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation and there is a way to do this as a batch process? If so, I'd be delighted to have my ignorance remedied...
