Anyway, the French and the Bretons will tell you that the whole Arthurian saga happened in Brittany. A French friend was genuinely surprised when I told her that Glastonbury was Avalon, because as far as she was concerned, it was somewhere in Broceliande Forest.
I enjoyed all the other emails saying it all happened in Cumbria, Scotland, Wales and Cornwall. Oh and what about Rheged? And what about Cadbury Castle in Somerset? "By South Cadbury, that is Camelot..."
