I'm happy to accept them when they are honestly acknowledged.
When people fail to acknowledge (in material for pubic consumption) it
always makes me ask - why?
and if this detail is being omitted, what else is being omitted?
Referring to a member of the family as 'adopted' shows no less love.
In fact, to my mind it shows a stronger relationship because it built
on a relationship achieved through love, not just an accident of birth.
