Charing Cross Hospital Campus, Hammersmith
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a PhD in a discipline such as statistics or equivalent research experience. This post will involve working on three CLAHRC projects supported by funding from the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health Research. The post holder will work with members of the CLAHRC team and other researchers within the Department in the analysis and use of existing clinical and epidemiological electronic databases held within the Department. You will be expected to play a full and active role in the academic life of the Department.
The successful candidate will have a track record of applied statistics and will carry out independent applied statistical and health services research. You will also provide high quality statistical advice to research staff and students in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health, and contribute to the development and delivery of teaching on the School’s Master of Public Health and short courses. You will understand medical terminology and report to and liaise with the other members of the research team on a regular basis. You will be highly computer-literate with knowledge of statistical and bibliographic software and possess excellent organisational and time management skills.
This full time position is based at the Charing Cross campus, located in Hammersmith, for a fixed-term until 30 November 2011.
