2nd July Building Fileplans and Retention Schedules for electronic records – equally useful for those using SharePoint or EDRM systems. This one day workshop is designed for records professionals facing the challenge of deploying formal classification structure to their records management and building a retentions schedule for their organization. It will lay out the principles that support the formation of good classification structures in the form of a fileplan and retention schedules; will describe how the fileplan and retention schedule tools are interlinked; and will survey available source materials for retention periods.
8th July Collaboration in SharePoint - This one-day course will outline the key concepts and features of SharePoint, and show how to best use it for collaboration purposes. The course will explore how you can make the most of SharePoint collaboration functionality and avoid the common pitfalls using real-life practical examples. The course will cover primarily SharePoint 2007 but will refer to SharePoint 2010 as relevant.
13th July Digital Licensing: Navigating the Legalese - The aim of this course is to demystify the legal jargon used in licences for electronic products; and to help delegates become more confident when taking out or renewing licences to electronic subscriptions. The course is aimed at anyone wanting to get the best deal for their organisation when negotiating licences for digital content.
